How can I secure a large mirror ontop of my fireplace mantle? - mirror on mantle slipping

I have seen in the design of "shows" where the only mirror on the wall seems to put on his coat. You do not want to hang on the wall, I leaned against the wall, but I'm not sure how this about slipping on his coat, without anything to prevent stay ahead of him in the loop. Ideas?
